What is a QR Code?
You’ve all seen those goofy looking squares with the random black boxes in them, but do you know what they are?
Well, according to Wikipedia, a QR Code is abbreviated from Quick Response Code, and is the trademark for a type of two-dimensional bar code, first designed for the automotive industry in Japan by the Toyota subsidiary Denso, in 1994, to track vehicles during manufacture.
QR Codes are becoming more and more common in consumer advertising. If you have a Smartphone or tablet you just need to install an app with a QR Code scanner and read the code. There’s lots of freebies available. The scanner converts this code to a website, store, or product associated with the code.
